The Sacrement of Baptism
Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: “Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water and in the word.” – Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC 1213)
Baptismal Preparation workshops are offered bi-monthly at St. Christopher parish. The workshop is free and is held on Saturdays from 1:00-4:00pm with the opportunity to receive the Sacrament of reconciliation and attend the 4:30pm Mass. You are encouraged to attend the workshop before or after your child is born.
Pre-registration is required by contacting the parish office in advance (810)364-4100
Please call the parish office if you would like to have your child baptized. If you are an adult who wishes to be baptized, please contact the parish office to make arrangements for O.C.I.A. (810)364-4100
